This piece is a 2022 model year and is less than 5 months old at the time of writing. CONDITION REPORT

Offered in mint condition, this piece has been hardly worn just a few times by the original purchaser whom decided the piece was not the right fit for his collection. No signs of wear other than microscopic hairlines to clasp. Some original stickers are still in-place

SCOPE OF SALE

This watch comes with the Rolex papers dated late 2022, manual, swing tags and boxes. It has been checked against technical records to guarantee authenticity and clean history and is provided with our Timepiece Handbook which includes Watch Register check certificate and our own Health Check Report with Timegrapher accuracy readings.

SPECS

24-HOUR BEZEL

The Explorer II is equipped with an additional 24-hour display; a dedicated hand circles the dial in 24 hours rather than the usual 12, pointing to a fixed bezel with 24 hour graduations. This function enables the wearer to distinguish the hours of the day from the hours of the night, an essential feature for those who venture into environments where darkness reigns supreme – such as in the depths of caves, or where the sun never sets – like the polar regions in summer.

WHITE DIAL

The Explorer II features a date display, an additional orange 24-hour hand and a fixed bezel with 24-hour graduations, enabling day to be distinguished from night. It became the watch of choice for speleologists, volcanologists and polar explorers. Its hour markers and hands feature a highly-legible Chromalight display with long-lasting blue luminescence.

OYSTERSTEEL

Rolex uses Oystersteel for its steel watch cases. Specially developed by the brand, Oystersteel belongs to the 904L steel family, alloys most commonly used in high-technology and in the aerospace and chemical industries, where maximum resistance to corrosion is essential. Oystersteel is extremely resistant, offers an exceptional finish once polished and maintains its beauty even in the harshest environments.

White dial, luminous centre hour markers, date display at 3 o’clock, a Stainless Steel 42mm case, fixed bezel, Oyster bracelet and deployment clasp, sapphire crystal glass, automatic movement and waterproof to 100m.

This means that we are now very picky with the pieces we choose to offer to our clients and we only buy watches that would be fit for our own collections because why should we have a different or lower standard for our clients?

So what does this mean in practice? How high are our standards? You can now rest assured that when buying from Beat The Waitlist EVERY piece will meet the following enthusiast-level standards:

a) No Rolex newer 5 years old or newer we would ever offer for sale that we believe has been polished by machine.

b) No watch, whatever the age, brand or price point, we will ever offer for sale that we believe has been over polished or polished/refinished poorly. Our founder Vinny can't stand this and therefore just wont handle them. Over polished watches lose their premium aesthetic, look awful and are poor as long-term investments.

c)All watches 5 years old or newer will be provided as full set with original boxes and paperwork because there is no reason they should be missing at such age.

d)All watches 5 years old or newer will be provided with FULL FACTORY SIZE issued bracelets with all removed links provided in the set.

1. The price shown is in GBP Sterling. Payment should therefore always be made in GBP currency.
